About Us

Although smoking causes cancer and diminishes health generally, more and more students start smoking at even younger age. Because of these severe health consequences, measures to prevent smoking initiation need to be strong and enforced and attempts should be made to motivate the many addicted smokers to quit.

Aims:
The main aim of the project is to keep students from smoking or to motivate them to quit.
Work process:
1. Partners present their schools by means of presentations, photo’s, video’s or with any chosen ICT software (jigsaw, Voki and so on) 2. Students introduce themselves to each other by means of photos and writings about their age, hobbies, families, pets and anything they would like to tell. 3. Teachers will let the students (individual or in groups) carry out some specific assignments with the objective of focusing on the harm induced by smoking. 4. In Twinspace a detailed list of activities will be made (and updated if applicable) in order to inspire, create and develop several project activities by both teachers and students 5. Students will prepare a questionnaire that will be answered by the students and their peers in order to perform an investigation with a statistical approach 6. Students will analyse, interpret and evaluate the survey results 7. Students will present the results and outcomes of the performed activities to each other in Twinspace in any way they like (PowerPoint, Word document, Drawing, Art, Poster, video and so on) 8. Students will discuss the results and will be challenged to respond in an interactive way 9. A selection of all students results will be used to create an Anti-smoking magazine to inform their peers all over Europe and in eTwinning plus countries. 10. Project will be evaluated by students and teacher
